Maludanae, or Muffy as she is fondly known, has been a big part of Red E since she first started at one of our Yoga sessions in May 2019.
Muffy was very hesitant about training, but that hesitation was replaced with enjoyment as she found herself as part of the Red E Mackay Bootcamp for Women crew.
Muffy is certainly a character that is full of life, she brings such an overwhelming sense of positivity to training and is uplifting and supportive of everyone around her. Muffy loves to have a chat but also loves to get stuck in and get the job done at bootcamp.
Muffy has an incredible sense of determination and refuses to be limited or held back by anything. The positivity of her mindset is nothing short of inspirational to all that have got to know her over the last six months.
Muffy has been determined to improving all aspects of her lifestyles and has taken on board her trainer’s feedback, criticism and praise. In the last six months Muffy has learnt so much about health and fitness and has executed on her weekly habit based goals with amazing consistency.
We love having Muffy as part of our Red E Fit-Fam and we can’t wait to see what she can continue to achieve in the future!
Congratulations on being named our November 2019 “Client of the Month!”
When did you start training and what was your motivation to start training with us here at Red E?
I started training Red E in May of 2019. Vama who is a fellow musician and Tali who is a close friend (both are Red E Trainers) had been asking me for ages to join up for Bootcamp. I finally decided to come along to a stretch class with Tali and loved it straight away!
When they first asked me to join I felt I was too big/too unfit but I soon realised that the sessions were made to suit everyone and I found my place very fast. Six months later and I have made so many friends in the bootcamp group. All the trainers and clients are very helpful and caring, I love my bootcamp family!
What were your goals?
I have been focusing on my running goals and I have been smashing them! I feel much stronger when I’m and I take far less breaks than when I started! My technique and form has improved across so many different exercises! I feel confident and comfortable with what I am doing as the trainers are very approachable and are more than happy to modify any exercises that I struggle with, I’m very grateful for their ability to adapt the sessions to suit everyone.
What have you achieved? What benefits are you experiencing? :
I can run further and faster than I ever could before! I am performing the movements so much better than ever before! I am a lot healthier in my everyday life, paying much closer attentions to drinking more water and finding healthier alternatives with food.
What did you do to achieve your results?
Every week I reset my habits based goals for the next weeks and focus on being consistent in the positive habits that will lead me to a healthier lifestyle. Every week when I see that I have achieved my habit goals it makes me soo proud of myself. Since I started in may I have improved my mental and physical health. My body measurements have all decreased and I feel fitter than ever.
What permanent lifestyle changes have you made?
Healthier lifestyle and I am much more active in my day to day life, training regularly 3-4 times every week at bootcamp plus water aerobics. Paying much better attention to the food I am eating and the amount of water I consume.
Fave healthy food: Active Blends, Açai bowls, wraps , smoothies and waffles. (Not all at once though)
Fave treat food: My mum’s spaghetti, fried rice, raw fish sushi, seafood, cheese scones and pikelets.
Fave exercise: Bench push-ups , Bench burpees, crunches – really anything I feel I can do properly makes me happy
Least fave exercise: Squats

Advice for others starting out…
If you are thinking about joining Red E, don’t think just join. The trainers, staff and clients are so accommodating and they make you feel loved and as though you are part of their big family. I’m so glad I joined when I did, I have been to a few gyms but this is definitely a keeper for me. Don’t procrastinate about it, just do it. You won’t regret it, I promise it will change your life.
