Throughout Barb’s journey with Red E which began in January 2017, one thing that has always stood out about Barb is that the consistency in her routine and her efforts each and every day to stay active has been the back bone to her success!
The consistency in her plan every week allowed her to create a routine that truly covers all aspects of training and transformed her into a very well rounded client. Her week to week training includes strength focused One-on-One Personal Training sessions, Metafit, HIIT, Pilates, walking daily and her own training that she does religiously at home. Barb’s goals was not weight loss based, rather to increase strength, flexibility and over all movement capacity.
Having such a diverse training regime has allowed for amazing progress in all of these areas and each training style has complimented the others. The hard work that Barb puts into her Pilates and mobility based training has paved the way for her to reach some very impressive lift in the strength session.
Barbs journey has not been one without its own struggle and setbacks, however due to her unbreakable mindset and determination, Barb has always created the best out of any situation presented to her. What was your motivation to start training with us here at Red E?
I wanted to look and feel better about myself as I had been feeling tired and lacking energy. I made the decision that I needed to do something about this and in order to achieve this I felt I needed someone to help keep me on track and push me to a point I know I wouldn’t have gotten to on my own. I knew about Red E so I joined up – which has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
What were your goals?
My goals were to increase my fitness level, tone up, focus on clean eating and basically become the healthiest version of myself.
How have you gone with your goals? What have you achieved?
I feel like I am achieving my goals – I feel so much fitter than when I started, I have even attended Metafit sessions (where I barely survive) which I never thought I would be able too. I have heaps of energy, I feel stronger and I have toned up and lost cms.
What benefits are you experiencing?
I am so much stronger, fitter and have so much more energy. I also just feel really good about myself. I have regained some of my confidence that I had felt I lost when I knew I hadn’t been prioritising a healthy lifestyle.
What did you do to achieve your results?
The exercise I do includes 2 x 1 hour PT sessions per week, I have also increased this to include Metafit and HIIT sessions as well as participating in the LBD where I have attended various seminars on nutrition and wellbeing. I also walk daily and attend Pilates twice a week.
I achieved these results with the help of the amazing trainers at Red E, particularly Damien who knows how to get the most out of you at each session. Also thanks to the amazing clients who you see in the studio and probably don’t even realise that they are an inspiration to others.
What permanent lifestyle changes have you made?
Exercise is now second nature to me and is part of my daily routine, it is no longer a chore or something I only do when I feel like it. I also do a lot more meal prep which makes eating healthy so much easier to maintain.

Advice for others starting out…
Don’t wait for the ‘right time’ to start – just start. Also be prepared that it won’t happen overnight but with consistency it will happen.
