Michelle began her training with us in our Bootcamp 101 program on 12th September this year. In her first few weeks Michelle was the quiet achiever, getting in and getting the work done at every session. Over the twelve weeks we have watched her body shape change before our eyes as her fitness and strength have increased as well. With her new found confidence Michelle came out of her shell, leading by example and supporting all her new workout buddies throughout the sessions. Michelle has also made a conscious effort to be more active in her daily life & has been a real team player. To top it all off Michelle has had some of the most impressive results over her 12 weeks of Bootcamp with just over 15Kgs and 50+cms GONE!! Incredible effort Michelle, you should be very proud!!
What was your motivation to start training with us here at Red E?
I was tired of not being able to fit into my clothes and constantly having to buy larger sizes. I also had no energy to run around and play with my nephews and niece (at commencement of Bootcamp their ages were 5 1/2, 4 and 5 months old). I had received the “Home Workouts For Beginners Exercises” from Red E Personal Training but could not get started by myself on doing any of them. I needed some extra push and motivation to start my journey.
What were your goals?
Basic goals were to improve my fitness and to lose weight and cms.
How have you gone with your goals? What achievements have you made?
I believe I have achieved these goals. I have lost kilos and cms and dropped dress sizes. Some clothes I couldn’t even put on at the start are now loose and baggy. I can also keep up with my active nephews and niece. I still have further to go but I believe it will be possible to continue.
What benefits do you feel?
I definitely have more energy and wear some of my favourite clothes again.
What did you do to achieve your results? What permanent lifestyle changes have you made?
Obviously commencing and attending Bootcamp 101 was the main way I achieved my goals but I also adjusted my diet. Having the extra energy from attending Bootcamp and diet also helped me to do extra exercise at home. Diet wise – I start my day with breakfast. I always knew breakfast was important but I was very, very slack in eating breakfast. I also reduced my intake of food and drink high in sugar and fat and ate more food prepared and cooked from scratch and not pre-processed. I kept up a regular exercise routine by attending Bootcamp sessions and exercising at home. I started riding a bicycle again (had been about 20 years since I rode a bicycle) and working out a routine to do in the pool (less stress on the joints and also great for the tan and heat).
Fave “clean” food:
Chicken Breast marinated and then baked and stir-fry vegetables. Also love the Banana & Date Loaf recipe from Red E Personal Training.
Fave ‘not so clean’ food:
Pasta and Sauce (any type of sauce)
Fave exercise:
At Bootcamp – Squats – I seemed to find them easiest and less stressful.
At Home – Riding my bicycle (can’t believe it took me 20 years to get back on a bicycle)
Most “Dreaded” exercise:
LUNGES. Even though I have never enjoyed running or jogging I still prefer running or jogging to lunges.

Advice for others starting out…
Just Do It. You won’t regret the decision to start with Red E Personal Training. They are a great and supportive team (Trainers and fellow Red E Team Members). Exercises are always varied so you don’t feel like you are stuck in a rut doing repetitive exercises which become boring and monotonous. If you have any injury the exercises are adjusted for you and the Trainers always check at the start of the Session if anyone has any new injury. There is great camaraderie at Red E Personal Training and everyone is so friendly and supportive. Red E Personal Training keep things fun by adding Mystery Locations and holding Team Challenges. Starting Bootcamp 101 with Red E Personal Training has changed my life for the better. I have never regretted my decision and you won’t either.
