Amanda Walker has been committed to One-on-One Personal Training with Red E since February 2017, in which time she has made some absolutely breath taking changes.
Amanda joined up with Red E as she was looking to get back into her active lifestyle, while still juggling all her day to day responsibilities as a working mother. Although it took a bit of work to find the balance of how to fit it all into each week, Amanda has truly done an incredible job of getting her head in the game and finding a way to make it work, for both her and her family!
Once Amanda got back into the active lifestyle, the next goal was weight lost and to lose the “mummy tummy”. Over the last 12 month period Amanda has dropped 7kg, a total of 31cms from her body and is looking amazing! Not only has Amanda been able to shed body fat, she has built an impressive amount of muscle and strength in every aspect of her training to become a very well rounded “yummy-mummy”.
Amanda has been an amazing representation of how this fitness journey may not happen overnight, but if you stay consistent and you are able to find a healthy balance in your life between enjoying yourself whilst also working towards a goal, eventually you will get to your goal and be able to sustain that healthy body and lifestyle as a standard.

What was your motivation to start training with us here at Red E?
I was so sick of always feeling bad about myself and not doing something about it.
What were your goals?
My first goal was to change my way of thinking, to get my head into it training, and then focus on what physical changes I wanted to make for myself. Of course I wanted to shed that ‘mummy tummy’, but I knew I couldn’t do it without changing my way of thinking first.
How have you gone with your goals? What have you achieved?
I can now say I am so into my fitness, I LOVE IT. I have lost cm’s off my tummy and lost about 7kg. I still have a bit to go, but I’m not disheartened about not looking like a supermodel overnight.
What benefits are you experiencing?
I’m better mentally and physically. I have more energy to go on bike rides with the kids, and more confidence within myself.
What did you do to achieve your results?
Got my butt whipped by all the amazing, motivating trainers. I also focused on what foods I was eating. Of course I could do better, up I don’t believe you should restrict yourself from things, you have to be able to know what to have in moderation
What permanent lifestyle changes have you made?
EXERCISE!! I HATED it. Mostly because I was always so worried about being judged. There is not need to feel like that at Red E!
Fave healthy food: Cauliflower pizza!!
Fave treat food: Chocolate… anything
Fave exercise: Anything where I can feel it working. Core or glutes
Most “Dreaded” exercise: That bloody rower
Favourite Quote? “You get what you get, and you don’t get upset”
Advice for others starting out…
You need to want it enough. Starting at Red E was the hardest but best thing I have ever done for myself. It’s so hard to find time for yourself as a mum, with the dreaded mummy guilt, the half hour sessions are brilliant and the trainer are there for you 100%!!
