Stacey Lay set herself a 12 week goal of our “Little Black Dress” Challenge. She was consistent over the 12 weeks and dropped 2.2kgs and 21.5cm from over her body, and the most visible result was her comparison photos! Stacey’s efforts over the Challenge earned her a Runner-Up Award at the Presentation evening! Here’s Stacey’s story.
What was your motivation to enter the 12 Week ‘Little Black Dress’ Challenge?
I wanted to gain better control of my sugar levels being a Type 1 Diabetic, stop feeling crappy and unhealthy and gain higher energy levels.
What were your goals for the Challenge?
To lower my 3 month sugar levels and to win the Little Black Dress Challenge!! This gave me motivation to train harder than I probably would have. It kept me focused when it came to food!
How did you go with your goals? What achievements did you make? What benefits do you feel?
I achieved my most important goal which was reducing my sugar levels – I recorded my lowest ever levels and for that I feel healthy, strong, confident and excited about continuing training and eating healthy. As a bonus, I trimmed up!!
What did you do to achieve your results?
* I trained at Red E twice per week in the Semi-Private Training Program and on Saturday mornings at the group training session (if I got up!)
* I stuck to a set meal plan with added extras and I basically did that the whole time while having treats when I wanted them!
What permanent lifestyle changes have you made?
I will always train during the week, I won’t go back to eating how I was. In the future I see myself fitter and healthier!!
