Paul Krause has been a loyal client of Red E for many years. In recent years he has really stepped up his commitment to his training and health by ensuring he has a good work/life balance. Paul is a very busy business owner and family man but still makes the time to stick to his training schedule and always makes an effort to catch up on any days he misses.
It is this commitment and consistency that has contributed to Paul’s increased strength and fitness and improved health. We are all really impressed with the progress Paul has made and we look forward to seeing more of it and he continues to progress. Congratulations on your consistent and committed efforts to your greater health for the long-term Paul! Paul is our Client of the Month Award Winner!!
What was your motivation to start training with us here at Red E?
Initially it was to get some activity back into my life. Leading a busy and stressful life at work with a wife who is as busy as me and having two children thrown into the mix we are typically the “time poor” family.
Something fell by the wayside and it was “me”. I needed to do something.
What were your goals?
My goals have changed somewhat and was bought on by rupturing my Achilles tendon. The road after doing this has been a long one (over 2 years) which has resulted in an immense amount of muscle wastage in my calf so working with my trainers, physiotherapist and my Doctor I am back on the recovery mode to regain strength and to address the issues that needed to be addressed.
How have you gone with your goals? What achievements have you made?
I am making headway with my range of motion improving weekly and with monthly monitoring via my Doctor and Physio. I am on the improve and it is showing on my results in my sessions.
What benefits do you feel?
I am walking more confidently and learning to switch on my core which was the root cause of some of my issues. I also have a burst of energy post my sessions which makes for greater concentration for me at the office and in my job!!
What did you do to achieve your results?
I have committed myself to three sessions a week and have been doing one hour sessions to further push myself further. My sessions are in my diary at work and my staff know not to change them without reference to me.
What permanent lifestyle changes have you made?
These are still a work in progress but in real terms I have cut down on the alcohol and aim to do more of the “general movement” front!!!
Fave “clean” food: A small portion of …but nothing beats a good steak washed down by a nice red!! Not totally clean but nice anyway!!
Fave ‘not so clean’ food: I love my chocolate….
Fave exercise: Without a doubt the rowing machine.
Most “Dreaded” exercise: Lunges…but that’s in my head from my injury.
Favourite Quote? “Happy wife, happy life”
Advice for others starting out…
Do it now…it is never too late. Push aside body image issues, having no time or just plain couldn’t be bothered…. that was me but not now!!!
