Melissa Robinson first started with us in August 2014 for our very first round of Bootcamp101. After her initial 12 weeks she was seeing results, so continued on, commiting for another six months! You could say Mel is totally addicted as she has since re-commited for another year as one of our VIP Members! She has also moved into the studio doing our Bootcamp Pro Program to further challenge herself. Mel has come such a long way – she has dropped over 10kgs, and has worked so hard to become who she is now – a fitter, stronger and more determined version of herself! She had sensational results in our 2015 12 Week “Little Black Dress” Challenge! She is an absolute pleasure to have training with us – takes every session in her stride and has fun with it! Mel doesn’t shy away from a challenge but when she pushed into one she always gives 100% and more! Mel’s outstanding results and never-give-in attitude have won her our November 2015 “Client of the Month” Award! Awesome work Mel.

What was your motivation to start training with us here at Red E?
I was so over being unhappy with myself and not having any clothes that fitted. Red E Bootcamp for Women Program kept popping up in my news feed on Facebook and the Bootcamp101 beginners program had me intrigued, as the idea of Bootcamp scared me!
What were your goals?
1. To lose 10kgs.
2. To get fitter to be able to play soccer in 2015.
3. To be a size 14.
4. Be happier in myself.
How have you gone with your goals? What achievements have you made
1. I lost my first 10 kgs (it took longer than I thought but I’m happier that it came off slower, and I’m determined to keep it off now too). I would like to drop another 5-8kgs.
2. I managed to play soccer for the first time ever.
3. I am now a comfortable size 14 and even a 12 in some clothes.
4. I am definitely happier in myself and in life.
What benefits do you feel?
I can fit into clothes that I haven’t worn for a while. I bought myself a bikini for the first time ever this year. Love that!
I have more energy to keep up with my kids for longer.
I feel better about myself and my husband is enjoying the new me as well.
What did you do to achieve your results?
I started just going to Bootcamp for Women three days a week and then I slowly added additional days in. I now I attend 5-6 days a week.
I didn’t cut things out of my diet cold turkey, I slowly reduced the quantity and then the frequency.
What permanent lifestyle changes have you made?
I no longer have a can of Pepsi with lunch everyday or a chocolate bar with a cup of tea at night. As a family we try to watch the amount of sugar that we consume.
I have never been very good a drinking water and I still struggle some days, my aim is to drink 1.5-2Ltrs a day.
On the days that I don’t go to bootcamp, I really feel it. I miss it. 🙂

Grilled fish and vegies
Fried Rice (which is more vegies than rice)
Apricot Chicken with Rice Noodles
Fave ‘not so clean’ food:
Thick Raisin Toast with Nutella
Most ab exercises and squats
Most “Dreaded” exercise:
Push-ups and Man makers!

Advice for others starting out…
The first step is the hardest but once you take it, stay strong and don’t give up on yourself. It does takes patience but once you start seeing results it becomes an addiction. The Red E Team are amazing, they are there to support you with every step and goal you make. The friends you make along the way, make the journey even more fun!!
