Our December 2018 ‘Client of the Month’ award was a joint award for two of our members who trained together and achieved together – Leanne Nicholson and Melissa Minter!
The growth and development for both Leanne and Melissa has been as much of a psychological experience as it was a physical transformation. Joining Red E’s Bootcamp 101 program in September with the simple goal of becoming more physically active and building upon their own self confidence, since joining both of these ladies have been challenged well and truly outside of their own comfort zone but never the less stayed consistent and determined.
Physically, both of these ladies have progressed as individuals, but it is amazing to see how well Leanne and Melissa work off each other and the support that exist between the two of them is simply incredible!
These two ladies are a true reflection of how you don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great. Not only surviving, but thriving in sessions that they would have deemed as impossible just four short months ago. The power of accountability kept Leanne and Melissa honest with each other and ensured their actions were a reflection of the results they wanted to achieve.

Here’s Leanne’s story…
When did you start training and what was your motivation to start training with us here at Red E?
I started Bootcamp 101 in September 2018.
My motivation to start was to strengthen upper body after a shoulder injury and for some mental wellbeing
What were your goals?
To strengthen arms. Tone body and along the way lose some cms.
What achievements have you made? What benefits are you experiencing?
My greatest achievement was to turn up to every training session and complete all the required exercises and run to and from the first shelter on the bridge. The benefits of this have been that I can now do more repetitions of exercises that I was unable to do before and I feel stronger physically and mentally.
What did you do to achieve your results?
I attended 3 boot camp sessions every week and at about week eight started an extra session each week – ‘Boxing for Fitness’.
What permanent lifestyle changes have you made?
Time for me… bootcamp time! Monitoring my eating over a week… not daily. Stopped looking at the scales and focused on the fit of clothing instead.

Advice for others starting out… “Just walk through the door and the support you receive from trainers and all of the other ladies is what helps to keep you going. Everyone is on their own journey but we all support and encourage each other! That’s what makes Red E the special place for me!”
