Sheree Bobongie has been a long-time client at Red E. Starting off with our Bootcamp for Women program in January 2014, she planned on doing 12 weeks then trying something else… but we are now July 2015 and she’s still with us!! Sheree continually challenged herself at Bootcamp, and smashed the kettlebell sessions! Moving into the Studio for Semi-Private Training Sessions was her next progession to continue to challenge her body and mind further! Ree has achieved some amazing goals – both strength and fitness wise including hitting goals in the Mackay Marina Run. Great work Ree, you are a superstar and a pleasure to have with us!!

What was your motivation to start training with us here at Red E?
I initially joined Red E for a 12 week program, and I never left! I started with Mackay Bootcamp for Women, attending three bootcamp sessions per week which meant I could stay consistent and maintain, if not improve my overall fitness. I more recently joined the Semi-Private Training Sessions to further challenge myself!
What were your goals?
Initially it was to improve my running but I have recently shifted my focus towards strength training. My goal for the 2015 Mackay Marina Run 5km run was to get in under 30minutes – I completed this in just over 29 minutes so my next goal is to get in under 25 minutes!
How have you gone with your goals? What achievements have you made? What benefits do you feel?
The FAST sessions are quickly building my upper body strength and I’m a few steps away from reaching the goals I had set at the end of last year. My running has improved with my next goal set. Today I have never felt more energetic, fitter or stronger. Exercise & training is something I enjoy & look forward to.
What did you do to achieve your results?
I listen to my PT!! I had to learn to eat better, rest when my body says to, stay focused & be consistent.
What permanent lifestyle changes have you made?
I have a better attitude towards my diet & drinking loads of water!! 2-3 litres a day, it’s hard to start off with but your body will eventually expect it naturally everyday! I play social sports with friends to mix it up & take advantage of the outdoors! Running on the beach & bike rides around the city!
Fave “clean” food? Anything with avocado
Fave not so clean food? Baskin Robbins cookie dough ice cream!
Fave exercise? Dead lifts & pull ups
Most dreaded exercise? Man makers !!!
Favourite quote? I have a few but one I particularly like “If my mind can conceive it and my heart can believe it then I can achieve it”.
Advice for others?
Deciding to get fit, healthy and& active will be one of the best decisions you will ever make for yourself. Be prepared to work hard & give each session all you’ve got – no excuses. Stay positive & keep focused, the results will follow!
