Fit Mums: Foundations

We are extremely excited to announce the opening of our specialised Post Natal Program for mummas to ensure a safe return to exercise!

This is a six week exercise and education program, designed for new mums who are a minimum 6 weeks post-natal and ready to ease their way back into exercise, safely.
 
We start by strengthening from the inside out and will cover the important exercises and information that may get over-looked in generic exercise programs.
 
Start regaining strength, fitness and confidence in a way that is safe and effective for YOU at this stage of your life.
 
These sessions focus on the pelvic floor, abdominal muscles, and general fitness which are all the main focus points to target after birth to assist your transition back in to exercise.
 
We’ll give you all the information you need, and educate you as to why you are doing the things you are doing, so you have the knowledge to keep moving forward with confidence in taking the best care of your post-natal body. 
 
Ab separation, pelvic floor function, tight and sore muscles in your body – upper back, lower back, shoulders, hips and pelvis from all the sitting, bending, rocking and feeding – this program will help with it all!
 
If you want to take care of your amazing body and restore your strength, fitness and function in a progressive way, we are taking a maximum of eight mums for this program to ensure they all get the attention and individualisation they need.
 
Your bub is welcome to come with you to the sessions.  There’s plenty of room for prams and capsules in the studio, or bub can be in a bouncer or swing (we have some available for use!), or on a mat beside you.
 
The sessions will run: 
– Mondays and Thursdays at 10.00am for 50-55mins.
 
The first round begins:
Monday 11th July, 2022.
 
The Investment for the six week program is $240.
 
Our trainers are pre and post natal qualified and “Safe Return to Exercise” accredited.

“I trained at Red E while I was pregnant with baby number two and the further along I got, my training reduced until eventually I had to stop due to sickness and then… it was time for the baby!! Although so happy to meet my new babe, it made me sad that I had to stop training but I was really excited to know I had Red E’s “Fit Mums” sessions to return to once I got the all clear from my Women’s Health Physio. 

At 8 weeks postpartum, I returned to “Fit Mums” with the guidance and restrictions set by my physio and the support of all the trainers at Red E.  The trainers were always on to me at each session asking how I was feeling and progressing, giving modified options for each workout to suit me, ensuring I didn’t overdo it and slowly eased back into training so that my body could recover and I could return to my normal exercise again!! (and kick my sister’s butt again!! 😉 )

I’m happy to say that after 6-8 weeks of taking it slow and steady (although not always easy in the beginning, as my body had to regain strength and stamina once again) my body is fully recovered from my pregnancy and birth of my second bub and that I am well on my way to doing all the things I could do before pregnancy!
