Bianca is the definition of hard work, commitment and cheekiness. Every session she comes to she is going to take it head on. Bianca has trained at Red E since 1st February 2016, in our Bootcamp101 Program, which is designed for beginners. After her initial 12 weeks, she was addicted and committed for another year in the VIP Bootcamp program! She also added in some extra variety by doing Semi-Private training sessions. Bianca says no to nothing! Her will to succeed and her pure determination has shone through especially in the past few months.
Bianca set a goal to complete the 8km run at the 2017 Mackay Marina Run and began our running program in February to help her along. She was going so well with the training that she thought the half marathon (21.1kms) was within reach! Fast forward to race day and Bianca completed her first half marathon in 1:56.18!!
During that time, she had committed to our 8 Week “LBD” Project and completed that in July with more sensational results – dropping 5kgs and 17.5cm in measurements!! Although not her primary focus, Bianca has dropped 15kgs since starting training with us in January 2016.
No challenge is too hard, she decided two days before the event, to run in the “King of the Mountain” race which is a 6.4km run from Netherdale up Eungella Range finishing at the chalet. She ended up coming 6th female! Bianca is a machine (just check out her fave exercises below!!) and has become so much stronger, fitter and more determined with her consistent training. For her outstanding successes of late, she is more than deserving of our July ‘Client of the Month’ Award!! Well done Bianca!!

What was your motivation to start training with us here at Red E?
I wasn’t happy with myself or where I was mentally. I quit smoking over 5 years ago and took up eating. I had put on a fair bit of weight and had become pretty lazy and my self esteem was extremely low.
What were your goals?
My goals were the usual lose weight tone up, get fit, but as the months went by my goals got more specific and I started pushing myself even more to achieve them.
How have you gone with your goals? What have you achieved?
Well I ran half a marathon in under 2 hours, and I never thought I would ever do that. (Considering when I started training for the Marina Run (12 weeks out) I was only intending on doing the 8km run)!! I have lifted weights I never thought I could (thanks to help of all the trainers and the people I train with 🙂 ) I can survive a Metafit session (just).
I have lost about 14 or 15kg (I can’t exactly remember my start weight) have already gone down two dress sizes (currently in between sizes AT the moment) and I’m more muscle now than body fat.
What benefits do you feel?
I’m more energetic and happier than what I was, I spend less time watching TV or on social media and want to go out and do something. I have noticed that I am better mentally and I have dealt with things a lot better than what I use to. I also make better eating choices (most of the time)!
I have also noticed at work I have a lot my energy and I’m not as exhausted or tired. My job can be very physical and mentally demanding and since joining Red E at the start of last year, my job at work is a lot easier, not just physically, but mentally as well.
What did you do to achieve your results?
I stopped making excuses and put not only myself first but also Bootcamp and Semi Private sessions (on most days) and also did Metafit and HIIT sessions whenever I could. I also started running, and sometimes did bootcamp twice a day. I made sure I was eating a lot healthier, and trying new foods and recipes I never thought I would. I also play volleyball and squash.
What permanent lifestyle changes have you made?
Healthy eating!!! And exercise daily!!
Since losing the weight and getting fitter I have gained a lot of confidence within myself and have completely changed my life. Exercise is now a daily routine and with the the seminars and advice I have attended and received I also have better knowledge of nutrition.
Fave healthy food: Sweet potato and tuna patties
Fave treat food: hot chip sandwiches
Fave exercise: Running!! And the more challenging ones where you push yourself and achieve it eg. Kneel ups, clap push ups.
Most “Dreaded” exercise: I have a few, but its pull ups at the moment.
